When any politician resorts to some degree of political turn, we are not surprised, because we have seen it before! However, when the President of the United States, based on political facts – verifiers, lies or makes false / misleading statements, at such a dizzying rate, it is something we have not seen or heard before in recent memory! What makes this even weirder, perhaps, is that polls indicate that a clear majority of the American public, do not feel that President Trump, is trustworthy, the 30-40%, that they represent, his central political supporters. Believe it or not. Never mind! Hearing the ever-changing narrative, the clearly distorted statements, and in a way the unique attitude, it may be worth considering whether this constant and seemingly increasing degree of lies, etc., is due to despair, illusion, what habitual and / or a political ploy. Especially during more stressful times and / or a crisis, like this current pandemic, the public needs to believe what leaders say, so that they are more willing to take it seriously and be willing to follow common sense (for the greater good) measures and plans, based on a clearly articulated strategy, etc. With that in mind, this article will briefly attempt to consider, examine, review, and discuss the possible causes / reasons and impacts / effects of a leader’s constant lying.
1. Despair: An analysis of the statements, accusations, etc., of President Trump, seems to escalate, significantly, when things do not go his way. You clearly don’t like it when others disagree, but when you take a closer look, this trend seems to escalate. Although, he told a lot of lies, in his first two years in office, in the last 15 months or so, the rate, the pace and the grade have increased! Is despair the cause? Do you want to remain president and be re-elected, in November 2020 you will do whatever you deem necessary to ensure this result?
