Couldn’t you use a little more faith today? How can we expect to face a natural disaster or acts of terrorism without faith in God?

If you are like me, you have been riveted to the television and horrified by the images of suffering that this terrible hurricane and flood has delivered.

Many of you may be wondering where God’s hand is in all of this. Don’t waste your time trying to blame God. Ask for your help to cope with this tragedy. Take an example of the faith that the victims have portrayed.

We have to muster the determination to face some of the terrible things that are happening around us. We have to trust our faith in God.

Sometimes it is hard to have faith when we see people suffer, lose their homes, loved ones and even their lives, but if we have faith in God, we can learn to cope with the tragedies that happen to us.

In the midst of all this tragedy and suffering, the true spirit of America will emerge. We are a people of faith in God. We must do everything we can to help the victims of this terrible hurricane. We must take action to help those among us who are currently unable to help themselves. we must act

Only when we each, in our own way, begin to participate in the recovery, will we begin to find the faith to face this terrible event.

Many of us may be saying to ourselves, “what would I do if this happened to me”. The answer is that we would try to cope as best we can by relying on our faith in God.

Let us all unite in a spirit of good faith and help our fellow citizens in need. Let’s do everything we can to make their lives more comfortable. The next disaster can happen to you and me. Then we may be the ones who need help.

The lesson to be learned from tragic events or acts of terrorism is the display of faith in the future that survivors display as they try to pick up the pieces of their lives and build a better future. Life goes on. Nature renews itself and in the process generates new life and the necessary environment for a better future. People of faith learn to deal with acts of terror and natural disasters. The creation of life evolves and regenerates itself under the good grace of God and as manifested by his unfathomable grand design.

It is fair to say that if it were not for the grace of God, here I go. This scares many of us. The only way to face these fears is through faith in God and doing good works. This is what our common Lord calls us to do.

Perhaps we can channel our fears into constructive efforts to help the victims of this tragedy and ourselves. Perhaps we can find the faith to persevere in our efforts to restore our nation’s virtue. Maybe we can find faith in God to help us deal with natural disasters and terrorism. Maybe we can help create a better future for all of us. Perhaps this is part of God’s great design.
