Internet marketing can be a very lucrative opportunity for anyone. Anyone can make money online with internet marketing; students, housewives, retired soldiers, even your grandmother!
…and it’s no surprise: who doesn’t want to work when they want, IF they feel like it?
But successful salespeople always paint similar pictures for you: a beautiful mansion by the sea, working while lounging on the beach, fancy cars, and vacations around the world.
In fact, it is a rosy painting.
However, there is a darker side to internet marketing.
These are the things that you will hardly ever hear any internet marketer talk about, but they are there, hidden from view. The truth is, of the millions of people trying to make money online, only a small handful actually do. You can probably hand-count the truly successful salespeople (relatively speaking).
In fact, many vendors make a decent living, but they are nowhere near beach houses and Ferraris.
Most just end up going deeper and deeper into debt, burning holes in their wallet trying to make it work…
You may have heard how easy it is to do web flipping. Simply take a poorly performing website, improve it a bit, and sell it again for a profit. But do you know enough basics about how to redesign a website, how to improve it, or how tough the competition is?
Of course, that is just one example of many. And yes, there are easy-to-follow guides and courses that you can buy, but no matter how well you can follow the instructions, there are still 2 important factors that cannot be followed: experience and luck.
An experienced web flipper can easily tell if a site has potential or not, and it’s not something that can be easily taught. And even then, sometimes it won’t work that well, and that’s the luck factor.
Unfortunately, this is where many people get lost, unlike working in a job where the outcome is guaranteed, taking on projects means you are an entrepreneur, which carries a certain amount of risk.
It’s just reality. But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.
As you gain experience, you’ll learn to identify much more profitable opportunities and distinguish between what will work and what won’t.
Experience and luck play important roles in internet marketing. You’ll never hear it from those who are trying to sell you their latest product or system, but they know it’s true. Speaking of selling, almost no Internet marketer will be 100% honest with you when you’re trying to sell something. Good marketers have the ability to weave magic words (hype) that will guide your mind to the conclusion they want you to think, even if it’s not true.
It also does not mean that they are lying, whatever they have claimed is true.
