.) Turn off the power and remove the cable from the printer.

.) Remove the paper cassette from the printer.

.) While facing the front of the printer, open the front door and remove the two screws. There is a small sheet metal bracket on the left side of the door that is not captive and will come loose when the screw is removed.

.) Open the right side door. Close the secondary transfer set. Remove the three screws on the left side, next to the white plastic link arm, and carefully remove the link arm from the door.

.) There is a link arm on the right hand side with a small cover next to it. Remove the screw and then the cover.

.) Remove the harness from the guide and disconnect the two connectors. Remove the two screws that hold the link arm bracket in place and pull the door out of the printer. It is much easier to remove the lower connector if you first remove the harness from the guide.

.) To remove the right rear cover (corner cover), remove the two screws holding it in place and release the tab at the top of the cover and rotate the bottom of the cover away from the printer.

.) To remove the left cover, you must first remove the four screws holding the formatter corner cover in place and remove it from the printer. The left cover has eight tabs that lock it in place. Using your thumb, press down on the lower front of the cover, then bend it to release the tab and slide the cover off the front to release the tab. After releasing this tab, slide the cover toward the rear of the printer, and then rotate it away from the printer and remove it.

.) There are two screws holding the control panel in place, one on the front side and one on the right side. Once removed, lift up the control panel and rotate the top away from the printer and disconnect the connector on the control panel.

.) There are three screws holding the right front cover in place, one on the front side and two on the right. It will be easier to remove this cover if you move the printer to the edge of the table so there is room for the cover to slide down. There are three tabs that lock into the frame. Using a small flat blade screwdriver will help pry behind the cover and this method will work as well. Release the tabs, rotate the bottom of the cover away from the printer, and then pull the cover down. NOTE: Be careful when removing the cover so as not to pry the power button out of the cover.

.) Next, remove the top cover by removing one screw, located on the left side under the edge of the cover. Slide the cover toward the left side of the printer to release it.

.) To remove the back cover there are eight screws that hold it in place. Remove the screws and slide the rear cover towards the fan side of the printer and remove it.

.) The last remaining cover is the top rear cover and there are two screws holding it in place. One is located on the front right side and the other on the left rear side. Once removed, slide the cover towards the left side of the printer to release it.
