Formula 1 Grand Prix racing is an international sport that is celebrated around the world. It will be exciting for Austin Formula One fans to be able to witness this event in their backyard.

Austin has been selected to be the host city of the United States Formula 1 Grand Prix from 2012 to 2021. Austin Formula 1 races will offer visitors great racing action on a state-of-the-art track now located in construction phase. It will feature a 5.5-kilometer track with 20 laps combined with 133 feet of variable height, with a steep uphill section leading to a hairpin turn. It will be a very fast and challenging track and it will run counter clockwise.

Work is also under way on a driving club, a visitor driving and driving experience, and a go-kart track. The facility is being built in Wandering Creek, which is southeast of Austin.
