Astrologers believe that everything that has a beginning on Earth has the potential to have a birth chart. After all, when you know what time something starts, you can immediately see what the planets were doing at that particular time. A business is no different from anything else, although there is the question of what counts as a start date. And when I do trading astrology, I often look at several different charts.

Sometimes businesses start out as informal businesses, where someone makes money little by little. Perhaps a hobby gradually turns into a profession. In these circumstances, the time a business is started could be the time the first paid business is contracted. So if someone is an artist, the key moment might be when they get a phone call and agree with a client to paint a painting for them, for a certain price.

Other businesses are more defined. A merchant’s business will begin the day he opens his shop. For example, the first branch of Wal-Mart, the American retail giant, opened on Monday, July 2, 1962, when both the Sun and the Moon were in Cancer. A good date for the founding of an American success story, with only two days to go until the 4th of July!

However, if two or more people come together to form a business, their lawyers will advise them to sign an agreement to formalize their relationship. The time and date the agreement is signed could mark an important moment.

Many companies are incorporated: in the UK they become ‘limited partnerships’, in the US they get incorporated status. Incorporation day is astrologically significant, even if the business is already running. So although the software company Microsoft was founded in 1975, it was not incorporated until June 25, 1981.

If you are a stock investor, you are not only interested in the inner workings of a company, but also in the price of its shares. To better understand the movement of the stock price, an additional chart is consulted, which is set to the time when its shares become tradable.

In conclusion, a birth chart can certainly be made for a company, but there are a number of different charts to consider. Furthermore, we must never forget the human dimension. There are directors running the company, and their charts should also be considered to understand the kind of events they are attracting in their business life.
