A tanning bed at home makes it more convenient for a person to get that wonderful tan. But a residential tanning bed also means additional responsibility for the owner. Technology is never perfect, like the humans who use it. Therefore, the domestic tanning bed can be subject to various problems. Fortunately, the owner of such a tanning bed does not need to call a technician every time something goes wrong. Here is a guide that will come in handy for a residential tanning bed owner.

If the bed refuses to turn on or on, there may be four possible reasons:

1. No power is supplied to the bed

2. There is a faulty relay

3. There is a loose on the relay.

4. There is a loose wire in the dial timer.

The owner should inspect the plug and circuit breaker to make sure there is power to the bed. If the relay is bad, then there is no other way to fix the bed than to replace the relay. As for loose wires, all the owner has to do is tighten the loose connection.

If the lamps do not light, there are five possible causes:

1. Malfunctioning lamps

2. Damaged ballast

3. Faulty lamp holder

4. Faulty starter motor

5. A loose wire in the ballast, or in the socket or terminal.

For any malfunctioning part of the tanning bed, the owner will need to replace it. The owner should not try to fix it himself. For the loose wire, the owner can simply tighten the loose connection.

If the table lamps do not turn on, the cause could be any of the following:

1. The bench is not plugged into the canopy.

2. A loose wire in the connector between the bench and the hood

3. The wire from the bench to canopy connector may be burned out.

The owner must check if the bench is well connected to the awning. If not, you should correct the situation. The loose wire just needed an adjustment. But if the cable burns out, the owner must retrieve some power tools so that they can strip the cable and replace the connector.

If the lamps are not working well but the fans are working fine, there are only two things to check:

1. The relay

2. The wire on the terminal block or relay

The owner should check whether the relay is malfunctioning or not. If it is not working properly, this relay must be replaced. Any loose wires in the terminal block or relay can be corrected by tightening the connection.

For other tanning bed problems, it is best for the owner to consult the tanning bed supplier’s technician.
