Business drives the world. How true this is can only be left to the judgment of each person. But one thing that is for sure is that business is a vital part of our lives. The fact that people have some things in excess but lack others that are in the hands of others who lack what there is with others is the only thing that drives business. From the days of bartering and even to the present day of e-commerce, this cycle remains the same. The only thing that changes are the modes of transaction. My grandfather traded sweet potatoes for sheep, my father paid school fees with bank checks, and now I’m paying my bills with mobile money. The fact is that goods and services are exchanged from one quarter to the next.

The importance of business is not a secret to anyone. In search of raw materials, the white man came to Africa and obtained it, despite all resistance. It is for businesses that the Internet is now making its way into every corner of the earth. Certainly business is a way to survive. Many sacrifices have been made, some even morally questionable, all in the name of the business. I always admire my boss when I see him working hard to keep things going at the company, even when he has already earned enough for himself and his descendants. To him, the business seems to be more than just about the money. It is like a way of life. More like a call than an obligation. After all, you have devoted almost all your efforts to building the company from the ground up. A nightmare that I know you would take to the roof for is an example of your business going down. An unlikely event to bring down his empire that he has worked so hard to build. This is not unlikely, it is not impossible. Because many companies have collapsed from above and scattered towards eternal destruction.

There are several things that are bad for business, regardless of its scale. These include the following;

Friends and family

Dishonesty

Inexplicability

Pride and arrogance

Intimacy and relationships

Although it is not exhaustive, the list above represents the little foxes that can gobble up your business and will leave you on the streets. For this reason, it is imperative that any business owner is aware of these little pitfalls that set successful businesses jumping.

In the next few articles, we will analyze each of these enemies of companies and see how they enter a company, what spreads their growth and how they affect companies. We’ll also look at ways to prevent these gaps from appearing in the first place.
